1. Agreement and eligibility
By downloading, accessing or using Finch, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Finch. You must be legally capable of entering this agreement or use Finch with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
2. License
Finch grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app for lawful personal finance management. The app is licensed, not sold. App Store use is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; Google Play use is subject to applicable Google Play terms.
3. Personal finance information only
Finch is a record-keeping and planning tool, not a bank, broker, lender, accountant, tax adviser, investment adviser or legal adviser. Calculations, charts, budgets, forecasts, exchange rates and market information are for general informational purposes. Stock information currently uses end-of-day data and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Verify important figures and seek a qualified professional before making financial, tax, investment, credit or legal decisions.
4. AI features
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or misunderstood. You are responsible for reviewing accounts, categories, amounts, currencies, dates and descriptions before saving or relying on a result. Do not use AI output as financial advice and do not submit content you lack the right to process. Availability, provider and model may change.
5. Your data and responsibilities
- Keep your device, app lock, backup service, WebDAV credentials and AI credentials secure.
- Maintain exports or backups appropriate to your needs and verify a backup before relying on it.
- Ensure records, files, images and instructions you provide are lawful and accurate.
- Review imported, restored or automatically created records before relying on account balances or reports.
- Do not send passwords, database keys or unnecessary financial details to support.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Paid features may be offered as monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions or a one-time purchase. The store checkout shows current price, billing period, trial and included benefits. Subscriptions renew unless canceled through your Apple ID or Google Play account before renewal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. Billing, cancellation, taxes and refunds are handled by the store and are subject to its rules and mandatory local law. Restoring a purchase requires the same store account and a valid store record. Finch does not receive full payment-card details.
7. Third-party services
Optional features depend on Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, Supabase, OpenAI-compatible AI providers, WebDAV hosts and market-data services. Their terms and privacy policies apply. Finch is not responsible for a third party's availability, content, security or decisions, but will use reasonable care when integrating providers.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not use Finch or connected services unlawfully, fraudulently, to harm others, or to process content you are not authorized to use.
- Do not interfere with app security, integrity checks, servers or rate limits.
- Do not copy, redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer or create derivative works except where applicable law expressly allows it.
- Do not use automated access in a way that disrupts Finch or a provider.
9. Ownership
Finch, its design, code, branding and included content are owned by the developer or licensors and protected by applicable law. You retain rights in your own records and files. Feedback may be used to improve Finch without an obligation to compensate you, and will not be treated as confidential unless agreed otherwise.
10. Availability, updates and termination
Features may change, be added, limited or discontinued, including where a provider, law, platform rule or security issue requires it. We may suspend connected functionality for abuse or a material breach. You may stop using Finch at any time. Before uninstalling or a major update, make a backup you have verified.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finch and connected services are provided “as is” and “as available” without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, error-free AI output, market-data accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. The developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits, financial decisions, or loss of data caused by your failure to maintain a usable backup. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes, law and contact
We may update these Terms as Finch changes. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted; material changes will be communicated appropriately. These Terms are governed by applicable law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes.
